Cinemascapes, an interactive conference and exhibition promoted by Cross – Section Media, held its fifth edition in Mumbai on 11-12 October 2011at Leela Kampinski Mumbai. The event explored various facets of the potential of symbiotic relationship between entertainment and tourism industry. Exhibitors from France, Maldives, Malaysia, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat Tourism highlighted suitable locations along with benefits and advantages on offer for shoots there. Shri. Yash Chopra, Ramesh Sippy, Mahesh Bhatt, Mukesh Bhatt, Rohan Sippy, Amit Khanna, Manish Goswami, Raj Tilak & Sunil Agnihotori were some who graced the conference.
During this event Western India Film Producers Association organized a special session on regional cinema namely Bhojpuri film. The speakers for this sessions were Deepa Narayan, Rajkumar Pandey, Sharon Thomas, Sangram Shirke, Mahavir Jain, Ravindra Arora & Dineshwar Sinha who guided the members on marketing of Bhojpuri Cinema. More then 400 delegates attended the 5th edition of Cinemascapes.
The highlight of the event was the award night where Bhatt brothers were presented an award by Yash Chopra for introducing audiences to different destinations, having shot in as many as 36 different locations.
