TERMS & CONDITIONS APPLICABLE TO THE APPLICANT ARE AS BELOW.
ELIGIBILITY
He/She should be the member of WIFPA with yearly subscription paid upto date.
For Nomination only members of direct blood relations are eligible of being nominated as nominees. Such as Father, Mother, Brother, Sister, Wife, Son, Daughter, Grand Son/ Daughter are eligible. Any relations other then these are not eligible to be the nominee in this scheme.
The insured amount is Rs. 1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh only)
Members COVERED under this Accidental Death Insurance
Those who die in Accident on Road, Railways, by Drowning, while shooting etc. anywhere in India or Abroad.
Those who die of Snake bite or those who are killed by any wild animal attack.
Those declared as “Accidental Death” by Police or Govt. Hospitals or any Govt. Authority
Members NOT APPLICABLE under this Accidental Death Insurance
Members killed during Riots, Communal Violence or otherwise, uprising, in Police Firing or due the personal enmity or in Gang war are not covered by this Insurance Scheme.
Any member who is convicted by court of Law for their involvement in crimes like Rape, Murder, Kidnapping and Arson etc. shall not be eligible for this scheme.
Requirements and Procedure for applying for Claims
Members should not be in arrears i.e. membership subscription should be fully paid while applying for claim.
Only those Nominees mentioned in the Nomination shall be applicable for the claim. First preference shall be given to the 1st Nominee.
The claim for Insurance must be attached with the following documents as Evidence:-
i) Original Identity Card of Member issued by WIFPA
ii) Police F.I.R
iii) Death Certificate
iv) Post Mortem Report clearly showing that death was caused due to Accident
v) Any other evidence/ proof as asked by issuing authority.
The Police of F.I.R. copy should be duly stamped and certified by the Police Officer in Charge of the precise area where the accident occurred.
The WIFPA office should be intimated immediately by Phone/E-mail or personally about the accident/unfortunate event/death.
The claim for Insurance should be applied by the nominee within THREE MONTH from the date of accidental death.
On receiving the application for the claim from the nominee, it will take at least One Month for ascertaining and verifying the authenticity of the claim.
On completing the process of verification by the committee the insured amount of Rupees One Lakh shall be paid by cheque to the nominee of the deceased member within 3 Months from the claim received.
The Executive Committee of WIFPA reserves its rights to reject any application of claim without assigning any reason to the claiming party. WIFPA has no legal bindings in such application/claims received.
The Executive Committee decision shall be final & binding on the applicant & cannot be disputed/questioned/challenged by the applicant or any other person.
Only first Ten Members having such accidental Deaths in a year shall be considered under this scheme. For this scheme the year commences from 1st April and ends 31st March. On every April 1st the next year shall commence and number of accidental deaths shall be accounted afresh.
Claim applications will be considered on first come first serve basis only.
